Rebecca M. "Bekki" Wright, 26, Grand Forks, North Dakota, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Altru Hospital as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Rebecca Marie Wright, the daughter of Richard Wright and Sheila (Olson) Wright, was born in Grand Forks on September 28, 1988. She attended Belmont Elementary School, Schroeder Middle School, and graduated from Red River High School in 2007. She attended North Carolina State College, and was currently a student at Mayville State University, due to graduate in December with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a Head Start Teacher in Grand Forks and Hillsboro for Mayville State. Bekki loved figure skating and was a longtime member of the Border Blades Figure Skating Club in Grand Forks. She very much enjoyed children and also loved animals of any kind. Bekki also liked hunting and fishing. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Sheila Wright, Grand Forks; brothers, Ricky Wright and Andy (Racheal) Wright, all of Grand Forks; fiancée, Seth Bowder, Milton, ND; her many aunts, uncles and cousins; her dog, Harli. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anna and Reuben Olson, and Howard and Dorothy Wright, and an uncle, Andrew Olson. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks and for one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
