Leslie R. Pahlen, 70, Grand Forks, ND, died Monday, September 14, 2015 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Leslie Rae Pincombe was born September 18, 1944 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Leslie and Eileen (Aasen) Pincombe. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Forks. Leslie moved to Indianapolis, IN where she worked for RCA Company. She returned to Grand Forks in 1969. Leslie spent most of her working career in the floral business which she lived and loved. She worked at Shea's Nursery and All Seasons Garden Center. At the same time, she was kept busy raising her family and being a homemaker. Leslie enjoyed cooking and canning hot pickles, stewed tomatoes and was also known for her frog eye salad. On Valentine's Day, she would bake cookies for every student in her children's classes. She sent birthday cards covered in decorative stickers to each and every loved one. Leslie married Kenneth Pahlen on March 12, 1982 in Crookston, MN. He passed away on February 23, 2008. Survivors include her children, Stephanie Moody Murray, Grand Forks; Jeffrey (Gail) Moody, Fargo, ND; Cheri Denault, Hatton, ND; Todd Moody, St. Louis, MO and Dail Moody Hassler, Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; and a sister, Cyndie (Ronald) Soderquist, Grand Forks. Leslie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a brother, Lyle Pincombe and by her parents. Memorial Services will be 2:30 PM Friday, September 18, 2015 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery of Grand Forks.
