Charlotte M. Sperling, 81, of Grand Forks, ND passed away on Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Charlotte Stoskopf was born on June 8, 1934 in Warroad, MN the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Lundgren) Stoskopf. She grew up and attended school in Warroad. Charlotte married Richard Sperling on Aug. 17, 1956 at the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Nekoma, ND. They lived there until moving to Grand Forks in 1968. Richard passed away in 2013. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to watch soap operas on TV and conversing with neighbors. She was a very empathetic and caring person who always was willing to help a friend. She will be missed. Charlotte is survived by her daughters: Mary Sperling, Houston, TX; Charlene Sperling, Grand Forks, ND; Bonnie (Barclay) Stebbins, Omaha, NB; son: Scott (Cristen) Sperling, Dallas, TX; sisters, Theda Booren, Thief River Falls and Beth Stoskopf, Kansas City, MS; grandchildren, Jackie Sperling, Robert Norris, Angela Norris, Annie Norris, Amy Stebbins, Christine Stebbins, Camryn Sperling; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; brothers, Clayton and Douglas and her parents. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Interment will be in Calvary North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
