Beverly J. "Buffy" Koller, 60, Grand Forks, died Monday, November 9, 2015 in Sanford Health Center of Hillsboro, ND. Bev proudly worked at the Holiday Inn motel for fourteen years and the Jewel Box for ten years. Buffy was a fixture at the LISTEN Center for 40 years, most recently serving on the Board. Bev became trained and certified in the UN Convention of Rights for persons with Disabilities. She served on boards for LISTEN, The ARC Upper Valley and Self Advocacy Solutions. She was a graduate of North Dakota Partners and Policymaking. She was a founding member of Rock n Rollers, a travel group. Bev was a member of the SAS, ND Self Advocacy Solutions group taking many trips around the states to speak out for change and progress. She enjoyed spending time in Devil's Lake with Beyond Boundaries fishing adventures. Bev knew the value of having fun, whether at the bowling alley, Special Olympics, or at the lake, . In all of her many, many life aventures, friendships were most important to Buffy. Beverly loved so many people and never met someone she didn't call a friend. Her greetings often included "Hello gorgous","Hi sweetheart!" and ALWAYS hugs, hugs, hugs. Bev found life and meaning in her faith and was always up for a prayer or church service. She regularly attended Christus Rex Lutheran Campus Ministry in Grand Forks. She loved the music and prayers and most especially the many friends she made there. The many friends who knew and loved her are welcome to attend a visitation on Sunday, November 15, from 4:00-4:45 with a brief prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held on Monday November 16 at 11:00am with visitation one hour before the services at Sharon Lutheran Church with lunch to follow. Bev is survived by Travis Einarson, Patti Mahar and family, Lisa Boxrud and family, Bonnie Mueller and family and the multitude of loving friends she amassed through the years. Her light continues to shine! Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 16, 2015 in Sharon Lutheran Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a 4:45 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks.
