Tordis Breiland

Tordis Breiland, 100, formerly of Buxton, ND died Sunday, November 22, 2015 in St. Vincent Hospital, Billings, MT. Tordis Iverson was born in Finley, ND on March 5, 1915 the daughter of Ingvald and Ellen Iverson. She grew up and attended school in Finley, ND. She married Howard Breiland on Feb. 16, 1941 in Fargo, ND. They lived and farmed in the Buxton area until retiring in1973. Tordis enjoyed participating in many activities in church, from organist to singing groups. For 20 years,Tordis and Howard spent their winter months living in Arizona enjoying new friends and new hobbies. In Arizona, Tordis took painting classes and became quite proficient on both canvas and china. Survivors include; son, Gerry (Nancy) Breiland, Billings, MT; daughter, Cheryl (Ed) Glenn, Mills River, NC; grandchildren, Shelley Brittain, Kristi Ducket, Bo Glenn, Christopher Breiland, Jeffery Breiland and Nicholas Breiland; great grandchildren, Sean Kremer, Summer Kremer, Laura Gordon, Lee Gordon, Nathaniel Glenn, Tayla Breiland, Ellie Breiland and Addison Breiland. Tordis was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, seven sisters and one brother.   Funeral services will be Thursday, December 3rd, 11:00, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Buxton, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 2nd, 5:00-7:00, Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks, ND. Interment will be in the Immanuel East Cemetery, rural Buxton, ND.
