Judy Shide

Judy E. Shide, 62, passed away peacefully at her home in Grand Forks, Friday, December 18, 2015. Judy was born April 11, 1953, the daughter of Donald & Lila (Moen) Benson.  She grew up in rural Arvilla where she attended school and graduated from Larimore High School in 1971.  Judy married Jon Dickson in 1983. They made their home in Grand Forks.  Jon died in 1993.  She married Jack Shide in 2003.  She worked as a CNA/caregiver for home healthcare and various facilities in the community.  Judy loved being with her pets.  She enjoyed crosswords and Jumble daily, talking on the phone and playing piano, but spending time with family and friends was her biggest pleasure.  Judy is survived by her parents; husband, Jack; siblings, Mark (Pat) Benson, Karen (Jon) McMahon, Dale (Sherri) Benson; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and special fury friends, Scooter, Tiger and Lily. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jon; grandparents, and many special pets. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks.
