Marjorie G. Kenmir

Marjorie Kenmir, 93 of Grand Forks, formerly a lifelong resident of Emerado, passed away January 8, 2016 at Valley Eldercare surrounded by her family. Marjorie Kenmir, the daughter of Emily & John Remy was born February 26, 1922 in New Orleans, LA.  Marjorie married Elden Kenmir in 1946.  Marjorie was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Emerado. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She always was kind and caring to everyone she met. Marjorie is survived by her children; Gary (Darlene) Kenmir, Crookston, MN; Diane Kenmir, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Tracy (Dan) Kressin, Crookston, MN, Marjorie Heap, Maple Grove, MN, Michelle (Brad) Gauck, Otsego, MN, Donald Heap, Grand Forks, ND,  great granddaughters, Breanna Kressin, Crookston, MN, Lydia Gauck, Otsego, MN; sister-in-law, Joyce Piche of Thief River Falls, MN; niece, Bonnie Gustafson of Grand Forks;  special friend Brenda Hanson & family, Grand Forks, ND, and all her friends at Parkwood and Valley Eldercare. Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Elden, parents and six siblings. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 from 5 -7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the start of the funeral.
