David Henry Sandell, Jr.

David Henry Sandell Jr, Age 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fort Worth, TX on Tuesday, January 5th 2016.  David was born on May 11, 1965 in Grand Forks, ND to David and Donna Sandell. He grew up on his parent’s farm near Gilby, ND and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Honeyford, ND.  David graduated from Midway High School, Inkster, ND. He then worked in health care as his career, working at Altru Health in Grand Forks, ND; Lutheran Medical Center, Denver, CO and Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX.  David will be best known for his wit, generosity, enjoyment of cooking, love of family, his model trains and his beloved dogs. David is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Mae and his grandparents. David is survived by his partner, Keith Kalal of 19 years; father, David H Sandell, Sr,  sisters Debra A Pollard and Diane M Peterson, and a niece Rachel Moen.  Services to celebrate David’s life will be held on Friday, January 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Memorials are preferred to the Circle of Friends Humane Society.
