Cherlyn R. Sussex, 50, of West Fargo, ND died Friday, January 29, 2016 in Fargo. Cherlyn Rae Sussex was born on July 12, 1965 in Moorhead, MN. Merlyn and Shirley (Orn) Sussex adopted her when she was 8 1/2 months old. Cherlyn was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church. She grew up in Grand Forks attending Ben Franklin Elementary and graduating from Red River High School. She was an active and friendly little girl who would strike up a conversation with anyone. As a child she liked going downtown shopping with her mom and going for a hamburger at Web’s. After graduating from high school she attended Bismarck Jr. College and later graduated from the Ohio Institute of photography. She then moved to Colorado and settled in West Fargo. Cherlyn enjoyed photography and was employed at Northwest Photography in West Fargo. She had a great love and concern for all animals, including her pets; Riley the dog, Mataus the “big” dog”and Russell the cat. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Sussex of Grand Forks; Cousin; Debbie Fleiner of Burbank, CA; and best friend, Tammy Watson. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb, 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 South 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be held for the hour before the service in the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.Memorials are preferred to the Circle of Friends Humane Society, 4375 N Washington St, Grand Forks, ND 58203.
