Calvin Holweger

  Calvin Holweger, age 75, of Emerado, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Calvin was born on August 10, 1940 in Grand Forks County, the son of FW and Alice (Sabe) Holweger. Calvin was raised on a farm near Emerado, ND. He attended and graduated from Emerado School. His family was active at Pleasant View Church.  Calvin was united in marriage to Charlotte Olson on November 20, 1960 at the Holmes Church. They raised three children. Calvin farmed most of his life, as well as worked at Eddy’s Bakery and Baseview Oil. Calvin was a 4-H leader, Pleasant View Township board member and Pleasant View Cemetery board member, each for several years. Calvin loved doing things with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Charlotte of 55 years; son Calvin Jr (Kim) Holweger, Smyrna, TN; daughter Carla (Curt) Krueger, Grand Forks, ND and daughter Cheryl (Bob) Simmons, Fargo, ND; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; one brother Larry (Toni) Holweger, LaQuinta, CA; three sisters Lorraine (Les) Hochhalter, Mott, ND; Beverly (Van) Johnson, Beulah, ND and Melody (Randy) Robbins, Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents.
