Leonard W. Vanyo

Leonard W. Vanyo, 76, Grand Forks, ND, died Feb 25, 2016 at Benedictine Health Center, Minneapolis.   Len was born Jan 3, 1940 in Grand Forks, the son of Michael and Rose (Straus) Vanyo. He graduated St. James High in 1958. Served in the U.S. Army 1959-1965.  He operated Vanyo Barber Shop in Grand Forks until the flood of 1997. Survivors include sister, Adeline Gador; and brothers, Larry, Mike (Jeannie) and Raymond and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Ernie, Vince, Bernard and Clem.A Memorial Reception will take place Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks.
