Darlene M Hinsz

Darlene M. Hinsz, 78, Grand Forks, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in her home. Darlene May Stoller was born in Grand Forks to Harold and Helen (Couch) Stoller on November 23, 1937.  She attended Washington and Roosevelt Elementary Schools, and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School.  Darlene married Norman Hinsz on December 7, 1956 in Grand Forks.  Darlene was a candy striper at St. Michael’s Hospital in Grand Forks. She was a child care provider, a longtime custodian at Wesley United Methodist Church and a full time mother.  Darlene enjoyed camping, fishing, her children and grandchildren’ s activities, card games, dominos, assisting her husband Norman with his woodworking projects.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Grand Forks. Darlene is survived by her daughters, Helen (Jim) Melicher, Grand Forks, Debra (Keith) Grigel, Moorhead, MN, Tammy (Ron) Kaiser, Grand Forks, Denise (Richard) Ellis, Grand Forks, and Tuesday (John) Just, Grand Forks;  grandchildren, Joseph Melicher, Anthony Melicher, Jarred Melicher, Daniel Grigel, April Grinde, Kayla Kaiser, Richard Ellis, Matthew Tallion, Antoinette Ellis, Casey Ellis, Corey Ellis, Bailey Just, Taylor Just;  great-grandchildren, Madden, Brody, Ryan, Nick, Carter, Lucius, Daisey, Haley, Norah, Haylee, Stone, Baylee; a brother, Harold (Cindy) Stoller, Jr, Grand Forks; nephew, Kelly Stoller, Grand Forks;   two 4 legged friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; and a brother, Jack Stoller. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.   Private Family Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
