Norma Kay (Holte) Pearson, 82, went Home to Jesus peacefully early Monday morning, April 25, 2016, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. A gentle soul who found pleasure and contentment in simple things, Kay was born June 1, 1933, in Grand Forks to Jonas “Joe” & Norma (Gerber) Holte.  A lifelong resident of Grand Forks, she was Baptized, Confirmed and married at United Lutheran Church. Kay graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1951 and from the University of North Dakota in 1955.  She worked in the Registrar’s Office while attending UND and, after graduation, she became Assistant Registrar.  She was proud to have served as Thomas Clifford’s secretary.  A “typing extraordinaire” and a true professional secretary, Kay worked many years for the Scottish Rite Bodies. A faithful wife of 50 years, Kay married G. Allan Pearson September 4, 1965 and was a devoted mother/grandmother to Bradley (Becki) Pearson, Northwood, ND; Joanna Pearson, Grand Forks; Judd (Kris) Pearson and their two sons, Zach and Luke, Rogers, MN.  Kay was loved as a trusted and loyal neighbor/friend. Karen Holte, Grand Forks and Barbara Holte, California, are her sisters; Jim (Brenda) Holte, Minnesota, is her brother.  She has a niece, nephew and their families and is predeceased by her parents, step-mother, Borghild Holte and infant brother. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to United Lutheran Church’s Radio Ministry or the Circle of Friends Humane Society. Everyone is invited to thank God for Kay’s (Mom’s) life on Saturday, April 30, 11 am at United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at 10.  Burial will be at Memorial Park North  Cemetery.
