Claire "Pat" P. Meagher

March 23, 1925 — May 25, 2016

Claire Patricia (Pat) Meagher passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.  She was born March 23, 1925 in Grand Forks, the daughter of Ernest and Alice Collette.  Pat married Earl Matthew (Red) Meagher at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Grand Forks on April 24, 1944. Due to Red's career in the U.S. Army, Pat lived in many places throughout her life, including five years in Germany. Pat especially loved their retirement lake home near Pelican Rapids, MN, where she enjoyed many happy hours visiting, sharing meals and, especially, laughing with friends and family.  She loved reading novels. Pat is survived by her son Michael (Jacqueline) of Fargo, ND; son Dennis (Sandra) of Bella Vista, AR; daughter Mary Collette (Robert) Chandler of Dobson, NC; daughter-in-law, Carneth Meagher of Ft Collins, CO; daughter Emilie (Robert) Walton of Thornville, OH; daughter Laurel (Mark) Roth of Bismarck, ND; sister Loria Kelly of East Grand Forks, MN; brother Ernest Collette, Jr. of Seattle, WA; brother John (Anne) Collette of Portland, OR; sister-in-law Myra Collette of Grand Forks; brother-in-law Glenn Meagher of Texas City, TX; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, son Patrick, her parents and four siblings. Memorial Mass: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Holy Family Catholic Church 1018 18th Ave S in Grand Forks. Visitation: One hour prior to the Mass in the church. Inurnment: (At a later date)  Mandan Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan, ND. A guestbook may be signed or viewed at www.amundsonfuneralhome.com
