Lisa Schirrick

Lisa L. Schirrick,42, Grand Forks, ND, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Grand Forks.  Lisa (Cote) Schirrick, the daughter of Myron and Carol (Tice) Cote was born on September 9, 1973, in Crookston, Minnesota.  Lisa graduated from Red Lake Falls High School in 1992, and began her dream of becoming a nurse.  She received an LPN degree from Northland in Thief River Falls and later an RN degree in East Grand Forks.  Lisa married Tom Schirrick on June 25, 1994, in Red Lake Falls, MN.  They were blessed with three children, Peter, Emily and Grace.  Lisa loved her children with her whole heart and was very proud of them.  She was their biggest cheerleader.  Lisa was born to be a nurse.  She worked in the cardiology department, the Family Medicine Center, and at the Audio Care Hearing Center.  Lisa had a huge heart. She went the extra mile for her patients and their families and did many unbelievable, selfless acts for others, never looking for praise or expecting credit.  She was highly respected by her colleagues for her work ethic and generous heart. Family meant everything to Lisa.  She loved family gatherings and loved including anyone and everyone for holidays and special events.  Lisa always wanted to make special moments for her kids, and loved to take and share pictures of them.  Lisa is survived by her children, Peter, Emily and Grace of Grand forks; her parents, Myron and Carol Cote, Red Lake Falls, MN; her sisters and brothers in-law, Lori and Guy Ford, Grand Forks, and Cheri and Gordon Baldwin, Rush City, MN,; her brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Michelle Cote, Mentor, MN; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Cote) Wang, Brandon Ford, Jordan Cote, Chase Baldwin and Colton Baldwin.              Lisa was loved very much and will be missed forever. She is at peace. She will live on through her children, Peter, Emily, and Grace.  She always told them, “I love you to the moon and back.”  Memorial Services will be 4:30 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at Thrive Community Church in Grand Forks.Visitation will be from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM Friday in the church.In Lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to benefit Lisa's children
