Candace "Candy" Kay Boese

Candace “Candy” K. Boese, 59, of Grand Forks, ND, became an angel on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Candy was born August 14, 1956, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Rudolph & Eleanor (Kasprick) Gust.  She grew up and attended schools in East Grand Forks, MN. She married William P. Boese and had 2 children together. Candy was a caregiver, a student of spirituality, art and culture of the world & life.  She enjoyed music, art, culture, science, nature, astronomy, anthropology and archaeology. Her greatest joys were children, family, friends and her animals. Candy is survived by her children, Shilo (Michael) Boese Nicholson, Timothy Boese; her mother; brothers, Larry(Tammy), Mark, Tim(Jean)Gust; sisters, Jeanine (Brian) Purcell and Debby (Warren) Lykken; granddaughter, Hallah Marie Nicholson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and feline companions, Kimchee & Mookie. She is preceded in death by her father and brother, Mike Gust. Memorial service:  3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17 in Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND, Visitation: One hour prior to the memorial service.
