Jose Angel Ibanez

Jose Angel Ibanez, passed away at the age of 26.  Jose was born on March 4, 1990 in Harlingen, TX to Jesus and Gloria Ibanez where he was raised in Crookston, MN. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. He attended Cathedral School, Highland Elementary school and Crookston High School.  Jose participated in extracurricular activities; track and field and also tennis. Jose was an artist who enjoyed making beautiful drawings. He took art classes in high school and learned how to make art sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Jose was adventurous and loved to explore the world and travel. Jose brought his beautiful smile and positive personality with him to every room filling it with joy and laughter that no one would forget. He touched the hearts of the ones he loved no matter the situation, he always made it right. Jose grew up in a big family he was oldest of six kids, as the oldest child he took charge of helping the family as much possible. He is survived by his parents Jesus & Gloria, and siblings: Jessica, Stephanie, Mary Alex, Julie, and Samuel Ibanez, his son, Brayden James Longelk, Brayden’s mother Teressa Longelk, and his nephew Jovanni Baltazar.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58201. Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7p.m. in the funeral home. Visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
