Esther Augusta Mager

Esther Augusta (Eide) Mager died peacefully at Valley Eldercare on July 18, 2016 in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 102. Esther was born on April 12, 1914 in Oslo, MN to Jacob and Clara (Nelson) Eide. She attended 8 years of school in Oslo. She married and had two sons, Clarian LeMont and Allan Dean. She retired from St Michael's Hospital after 18 years of employment. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles. Esther found joy in being with her family. She celebrated her 100th birthday at St Anne's Guest Home with her family and friends in 2014. Esther is survived by her daughter-in-law, Janet Mager-Hansen, Mesa, AZ, 4 grandchildren, Jody (Mike) Pearson, Mooresboro, NC, Jamie Mager, East Grand Forks, MN, Suzanne Anderson, Mesa, AZ, Shawn (Kristen) Mager, East Grand Forks, MN, 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Clarian Mager and Allan Mager, and 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks, with Pastor Sarah Raymond officiating.Visitation: One hour prior to the service.Interment: Memorial Park South Cemetery in Grand Forks, ND.
