Clement "Clem" C. Nadeau, 84, of East Grand Forks, MN, died in his home on Friday, August 26, 2016. The son of Pierre and Josephine (LaFountain) Nadeau was born on October 20, 1931, in Belcourt N.D. He attended schools in Belcourt N.D. Clem served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the Korean War. He was awarded eagle feathers in a tribal ceremony for his valor in Korea. Clem worked in the trucking industry most of his life and in later years as a Certified Diesel Truck Technician/Driver. During retirement he enjoyed working on small engines, woodworking, and anything that needed repair. Clem was gifted at fixing and repairing almost anything. Clem enjoyed performing for people in nursing homes, assisted living and senior centers. He was a very gifted singer and lead guitar player. He enjoyed making people happy and smile while he was performing. Clem had also belonged to the Kiwanis Club and Retired Men's Club. He was married to Molly Davidson, they had four children; Kathy (Rene), Pierre, Clement Jr. and Debbie. He later married Phyllis Helton and they had five children; Kimberly (Lyle), Jacqueline (Alan), Wilmer, Tina and Joseph (Anne). In 1969, he married RaeNett Leno. They had two children, Danette and Burrell (Melinda). He is survived by his wife & children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers; daughters, Danette and Debbie and grandson, Travis. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, at United Lutheran Church 324 Chestnut St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7pm prayer service on Wednesday at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. Visitation will continue the hour prior to the service at the church.
