Martha A. Walker

Martha A. Walker 73, Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center, Grand Forks, returned to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Martha Anne Walker, the daughter of William Earl Walker and Mary Catherine (Clark) Walker, was born March 6, 1943 at Memphis, Missouri.  Martha graduated from high school in Wilton, Iowa in 1961.  She enjoyed drawing and painting, spending time with family, shopping, and playing Bingo.   Martha is survived by 3 daughters,  Alana Wendel, Julie Hillyer (Anita Schindler), Dianne Cluney; 7 grandchildren, Jacob Wendel, Maia Wendel, Joshua Ekern, Jessica Spence, Erik Plante, Jessica Witte, Lindsay Hillyer;  two sisters, Mary Harris, and Theresa Safarino.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and significant other, Ray Williams. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial:  will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 520 5th Ave North, Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the mass in the church.  Inurnment will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Valley City, North Dakota.
