Sandra J Pigeon-Ulmer

Sandra (Sandy) Jane Pigeon-Ulmer, 61, Moorhead, MN and formerly of Grand Forks, ND, peacefully passed away in the hands of her sons and grandchildren on Sunday the 18th of September 2016 at CentraCare Health Hospital, St. Cloud, MN. Sandra was born May 18, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio, to Raymond and Susan. Sandra was raised in Aberdeen, SD and attended high school there. Early into Sandy’s twenties she moved to Grand Forks, became a Mother, and started a career in health services. Sandra also lived around the Sewanee Mountains in Winchester, TN for a few years. Sandra later devoted herself to Jesus Christ, raising her kids and helping raise other children after a back injury left her physically disabled and out of the workforce. In her retirement years she enjoyed working as a high school and college kitchen assistant. Sandra was a lively spirited person who enjoyed waking up with Folgers coffee, enjoying the freshness of the day and dancing through the night with festival music. Sandy later became a Grandma. She was able to push her grandchildren in the swings, play dress-up, buy them electronic tablets, and even became a texting Grandma! In her spare time, she enjoyed playing card games, relaxing around the lake or river, and never leaving home without a glass of Coke over ice. Sandra is survived by her son, Jered (Eloisa) Pigeon, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Tyrone Mortenson, Fergus Falls, MN., Thalia “Shaka” Pigeon, Quireanna “Rubi” Pigeon, Jered Roland Pigeon, Jr., Fargo, ND; siblings, Sharon Pigeon, Grand Forks, Diane Hurt, Grand Forks, Vickie Thompson, Warren, MN, Renay Pigeon, Grand Forks, Grand Forks, Chuck (Gail) Hobus, Grand Forks, Lana (Joel)  Kubischta, Warren, MN and Mike (Lori) Hobus. Sandra was preceded in death by her son, Justin Charles Pigeon (2007) and brother, Doug Pigeon (1989). Memorial Services will be Friday, September 23, 2016 at Amundson Funeral Home located at 2975 South 42nd Street, Grand Forks, ND. Wake viewing will be at 9:30AM and Memorial Celebration Service will be at 10:30AM.
