Tharald "Tommy" Anderson

Tharald "Tommy" Anderson, 94, of Grand Forks, passed away on Monday, October 03, 2016 at Valley Eldercare Center in Grand Forks.  Tommy was born April 15, 1922, the son of Isaac & Gunhild (Qualley) Anderson in Bygland, MN.  He graduated from Fisher High School. He served in the US Army during WWII prior to his honorable discharge from service. Tommy married Lois Steinberg on March 18, 1943. He worked in maintenance with the Civil Service for many years. Tommy is survived by his wife of 73 years, Lois; children, Merril (Rita) Anderson of FL, Cher (Terry) Hambrecht of Fargo, Rodger (Marlys) Anderson GF & Gary Anderson of GF; brothers, Norris (Elsie) Anderson of GF and Arnold Anderson of Powell, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald; 1 brother and 4 sisters. Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Private Interment at Memorial Park South Cemetery in Grand Forks.
