Glenn Fontaine

Glenn L. Fontaine, 78, Grand Forks, ND, died Friday, October 7, 2016 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare, Grand Forks.Glenn L Fontaine was born August 4, 1938 in Whitman, ND. to Isadore and Frieda (Kelley) Fontaine. He attended School at Whitman, ND Rye #25, and Central High School. He worked for UND worked in the facilities building in communications. He was a member of United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Where he taught Sunday School. He was a member of the Sons of Norway. Glenn made lots of Norwegian goodies. Glenn married Marie Lewis on September 9, 1972 at United Lutheran Church. They raised 2 daughters, Sara (Mark) and Glory. 5 grand children Cpl. Alexander Laughery-Fontaine(Stephanie), Courtney, Hunter, Erick and Hannah, and on great grandson Aden Laughery-Fontaine. Surviving him are 2 brothers Stanley Fontaine, Grand Forks, ND Keith(Sandra) Fontaine of Mentor, MN, Sisters Hazel Gunderson, Mavis Woodard, Joann Davis, Hope Lembke, and Nancy (Allen) Slominski all of Grand Forks,  and a sister-in-law, Theresa Fontaine. He also has many nieces and nephews and cousins on both sides of the family. Preceded in death by his parents, son Jason, daughter Trisha, twin sister Gloria, sisters Florence, Fern, Frances, Bonnie, and brothers Delmore, Douglas, Isadore Jr., and infant brother. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in United Lutheran Church of Grand Forks.Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church.Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery of Grand Forks.
