Charles K. “Chuck” Schuler, 57, Grand Forks, ND, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Charles Kevin Schuler was born April 2, 1959 in Granite Falls, MN, the son of Murvin and Leone (Sandberg) Schuler. He was raised in Granite Falls and graduated from high school in 1977; he then attended the Granite Falls Technical College, graduating with a degree in hydraulics. He attended Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN, for one year before transferring to Mankato State University and earning his Bachelor's Degree, majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics. Chuck married Karen Jensen on June 8, 1985. They lived in Chicago, IL for 12 years where Chuck worked for Fauver Hydraulics, welcoming two sons during their time in Illinois: Ian in 1988 and Sean in 1991. In 1997, they moved to Grand Forks, and for the last two years he worked as a sales engineer with Steffes Corporation. People were always a priority to Chuck, be they family, church or coworkers. He genuinely cared both for and about others, demonstrating it in countless ways. He was a humble man of simple needs who enjoyed the Word of God and sharing the truth of it through his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law Waldon (Patricia) Jensen, his brother-in-law "Shorty" Horning, and nephew Kim Larson. He is survived by his wife, his sons Ian and Sean (Trisha) Schuler, his brothers and sisters Donna (Jerry) Larson, Don (Jeri) Schuler, Linda Horning, Doug (Liz) Schuler, Kate (Rollie) Weberg, Mary (Dale) Streblow, his mother-in-law Patricia, and countless nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Faith Evangelical Free Church of Grand Forks.Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church.
