Olive Evangline Offerdahl passed away November 3rd, 2016 at Maple View Memory Care Fargo, North Dakota with her sons at her bedside. Olive was born February 1st, 1927 to Ida Marie (Thompson) and Theodore Ovrid in Hatton, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Zoar Free Lutheran Church in Hatton, North Dakota. She was a member of the Washington Prairie Lutheran Church (Hatton) and later United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Olive attended Hatton public schools before being united in marriage April 6, 1945 to Chester E. Offerdahl. The couple farmed in rural Northwood raising 4 sons Larry, Jack, Danny, and Donald. Olive was active in the community as a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher, Eastern Star member, and ND Flying Farmer Association member. In later years she worked as an OB tech at United Hospital Grand Forks. Olive is survived by her sons Larry (Lynn), Champlin, MN, Jack (Keith), Moorhead, MN, Donald (Patricia), Bismarck, ND; Sister, Francis Ehnert, Mesa, AZ; brother Gordon (Doris) Ovrid, Hatton, ND; daughter-in-law, Kathy Offerdahl, Moorhead, MN; Eleven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Olive was preceded in death by her ex-husband Chester, Son Danny; parents; brothers, Ted, Thelmer, and Leroy. Sister Mardell. Memorial Services: will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Washington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.
