Eunice Sondreal

Eunice H. Sondreal, 94, Grand Forks, North Dakota died Friday, November 4, 2016 at Northwood Deaconess Health Care Center, Northwood, North Dakota. Eunice Henrietta Hedstrom, the daughter of Arthur and Ella (Dahly) Hedstrom was born  June 4, 1922 at Aneta, North Dakota.  She was raised and educated in the Aneta-Sharon area, graduating from  Sharon High School on May 29, 1940.  Eunice married Homer E. Sondreal on July 3, 1947 at Moorhead, Minnesota  and together they had four children, Janine, Blair, Bruce and Barry.  Eunice was employed at Sears as head cashier and  later in life  as site manager at the Grand Forks Senior Center.  Her family fondly remembers her love of jellybeans, BINGO, dancing, singing, and playing nickel slots.  Eunice lived life to the fullest and treated all with kindness. Eunice is survived by her children, Janine (Jeff) Johnson of Edina, MN and their children, Matthew and Bryan (Chelle), Blair Sondreal, Grand Forks and his children, Amber (Josh Hoffert),  Drake (fiancée Ashley Johnson),  Taylor (Brittany Tomlin) and Ali Sondreal (deceased),   Bruce (Sheila) Sondreal of Grand Forks and their children, Skyler (Colin Parrish), and Cody Wixo;  Barry Sondreal, of Roseville, CA, and his children, Ashley (Ryan Slauson), and Hannah;  a brother, Alden (June) Hedstrom, Fargo, ND; nine great grandchildren;   several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Ella; siblings, Alice, Viola, Arvid, Robert, and Donna; granddaughter, Ali Sondreal.   Memorial Services:  will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
