Elouise “Tootsie” Perreault Elouise Virginia Perreault, 83, passed away on November 20, 2016 at Valley Elder Care in Grand Forks. Elouise Racchini was born to Henry and Virginia (Amato) Racchini in Chisholm, Minnesota on December 26, 1932. Graduating from Chisholm High School in 1950. She was in many activities during her school days including National Honor Society. She was forever proud of her Iron Range upbringing and Italian heritage. Elouise Racchini married Gerald L. Perreault in Chisholm on February 10,1955.They then moved to Grand Forks where she resided until her death. A stay at home Mom until 1971 she began her career as a librarian at Ben Franklin and Lake Agassiz schools, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed her work and was able to share her love of reading with countless children. The most important thing in her life was her family. She found great joy in time spent with her family, keeping up with her grandchildren’s lives and trips to Chisholm to visit family. Elouise, a wonderful cook, loved cooking and baking with her children and grandchildren passing on family recipes and creating many lasting memories. While at Valley elder Care she enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee, watching old movies and the activities. Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated employees of VEC who lovingly provided friendship and care to Tootsie. Grateful for having known her: children, Gregg (Deborah) Perreault, Sioux City, Iowa, Lisa Perreault, Grand Forks, Rodney (Michele) Perreault, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason (Jessica), Jeremy, Jessica, and Julie Perreault and Matthew and Lauren Perreault; sister, Gerrie (Gene) Scaia, Chisholm, Minnesota; foster sister, Carol (Marty) Liguori, Blaine, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas and Rudolph Racchini; sisters, Nancy Trombetta and Joan Pender. Someday when fades the golden sun beneath the rosy tinted west. My Blessed Lord will say “Well done” and I shall enter into rest (Fanny Crosby)Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2016 in St. Michael's Catholic Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 4:30 PM Rosary and a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery of Grand Forks.
