JoAnn Cory, 61, Grand Forks, died Monday, November 21, 2016 at her home with her family present. JoAnn Warren was born to Harold and Dorothy (Stegner) Warren on March 10, 1955 at Ft. Collins, Colorado. She was raised and educated in Ft. Collins, and graduated from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado. JoAnn Warren and Darrel Cory were united in marriage on June 21, 1975 at Ft. Collins. JoAnn was a private practice massage therapist and was also a potter, and a biofeedback technician. JoAnn enjoyed singing, cooking, planning family events, decorating for holidays, arts and crafts, and practical jokes. She was an active member of United Lutheran Church, serving on the United Lutheran Church Council and the Alternative Christmas Fair Board. She was also director of the Grand Cities Children’s Choir Mentoring Program. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Darrel, Grand Forks; children, Benjamin (Lauren) Cory, Minneapolis, MN, Amanda Cory, Devils Lake, ND, and Emily Cory (Steve Dyson), Grand Forks; sisters, Robbie (Larry) Litke, Marion, NC, and Janet (Leon) Newman, Colorado Springs, CO; several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 in United Lutheran Church, 324 Chestnut St., Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
