Diane Marie (Riske) Catalano Diane was born November 30, 1948 to Joseph and Florence Riske. She died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 after a long battle of lung cancer. Diane graduated from Fisher High School in 1966. Diane married Leonard Catalano in 1969, and they had a son Anthony (Tony) in 1970. Diane moved with her family to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Diane was employed in Property Management starting in1975 thru 2011 when she retired. With this career she went from Minneapolis, to Chicago and then several locations in California. Along with Property Management, Diane taught seminars on the HUD program, taking her all over the United States and was also author of Property Management Instructional Manuals, which were marketed Internationally. Diane was known nationwide for her expertise, knowledge and responsibility of knowing the programs inside and out. She trained many people to know the business well. Diane ended her career in 2011 as Director of Occupancy. Diane moved back to North Dakota in 2011. She lived in Thompson, North Dakota for about five years. She wasn't a big fan of the cold winters here, but after being gone for 40 years she was happy to be back with her family. Diane loved to play games, cards and most of all her computer. She was a one of a kind gal, and made an impression on all that she knew. Diane touched many lives, gave us all some great and lasting memories. She will be missed by all but never forgotten. For what we hold in our hearts will be ours forever. Diane is survived by her son Anthony (Tony) Catalano, Mother, Florence Riske, sister's Joanne (Jerry) Rozeveld, and Betty (Larry) Longoria. Three brothers, Joseph (Joni) Riske, John (Joyce) Riske, and Michael (Shirley) Riske. Diane has seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Father, Joseph Riske . MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at New Life Foursquare Church 321 Cottonwood St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the church.
