  Mollie Mae Marshall Olson, 99, passed away Saturday, December 3rd, 2017. She was lovingly surrounded by her family as she moved on to join the love of her life, Lorando.   Mollie Mae Marshall was born November 29, 1917 at Emerado, North Dakota to Oliver Marshall and Clara Taylor Marshall.  Mollie was raised on the farm with her sisters, Mabel and Clara, and brother, William.  Her stories of the depression, attending school, her horse Pam, and her Grandfather Sylvester were shared often with her grandchildren. Mollie married Lorando T. Olson on November 29, 1937 at her home in Emerado, North Dakota.  Mollie and Lorando were blessed with two children, Lorna and Gerald. During Mollie’s life, she was actively involved with University Lutheran Church where she and Lorando were charter members. Mollie was a Girl Scout and 4-H leader, and volunteer for her many interests. Mollie and Lorando built their lives together as true partners. Lorando with his business and airplane ventures, and Mollie to her successful 50 year dedication to her Avon business. Mollie is survived by her daughter, Lorna Olson Cooper (Tim), Nevis, MN;  and daughter in law, Faye Mills, Shakopee, MN; grandchildren, Lisa Urness (Razvan Atanasiu), Mari Pokornowski (Alan), Lori Urness Wartman (John), David Urness (Jennifer), Barbara Cooper, Rebecca Guitard (Mike), Rachel Patefield (Marc), Brian Olson (Carrie), and Christy Joy Feist (Nik); Twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews. Mollie was preceded in death by her son, Gerald; husband, Lorando; brother, William; and sisters, Mabel and Clara. Funeral services will be held 10:30 Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at University Lutheran Church, Grand Forks. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service at Amundson Funeral home. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks. Memorial donations may be given to University Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND.
