Margaret A Sorteberg

  Margaret A. Sorteberg, 65, Grand Forks, ND, died Friday, December 16, 2016 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Margaret Ann Pearson was born March 16, 1951 in Grand Forks, the daughter of Edwin and Esther (Stokke) Pearson. She was raised in Grand Forks and Graduated from Central High School in 1969. Margaret worked for the A&W Drive In of Grand Forks before going to work for K-Mart where she was employed for nearly 40 years, working her way up to an assistant manager position at one time. Margaret married David Sorteberg on October 6, 1979 in Grand Forks. They recently celebrated their 38th Anniversary together. They lived in Boise, Idaho before returning to Grand Forks. To Margaret, family always came first and she was very dedicated to raising her sons. She also enjoyed vacations and camping and fishing. Survivors include her husband, David Sorteberg, Grand Forks; sons, Jeremy Sorteberg, Grand Forks and Joshua Sorteberg, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Liam, Tyson, Jayson, Sam and Kami; sisters, Karolyn (Lyle) Roseen, Roseau, MN and Janice (Joe) Miller, Hatton, ND; and a brother, Arden Pearson, Glyndon, MN. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter-in-law, Nicole Sorteberg. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
