Regina Stadstad

Regina “Reggie” Riske Stadstad, 83, Manvel, ND, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 in her home.Regina was born January 3 1933 to Martin and Frances (Stoltman) Riske in Walsh County, ND. She attended school at St. James Academy, GF and graduated from Minto High, ND. Reggie worked at Minnkota Power, GF; UND Medical School, GF; County Social Service Center, GF; Terry Lehman, MD, GF; and retired from Dakota Therapy Center, GF.   Regina “Reggie” married Odell Stadstad November 14, 1951 in East Grand Forks, MN. Three children were born to this union: Larry (Becky), Manvel; Lynne (Davis) Hoverson, Manvel; and Lee (Shelly), Manvel. Eight grandchildren: John Hoverson, Manvel; Mark (Shannon) Hoverson, AZ; Jeff (Erica) Hoverson, WI; Linsey (Brandon) Rood, Grand Forks; Jake (Brooke) Stadstad, WI; Jason Stadstad (deceased), Jared (Lachen) Stadstad, Grand Forks; Justin Stadstad, Grand Forks. Eight great grandchildren: Isaac, Grace, Rush and Micah Hoverson, AZ; Raina Hoverson, WI; Jase Stadstad, Grand Forks; Smith Stadstad, WI; Bodhi Rood, Grand Forks; brother, Steven Riske, CA; sister-in-law Leona Riske, Grafton; sister-in-law Lavina Stadstad, Northfield, MN; aunt Joan Rusinyak, CA.   Reggie was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Manvel, Manvel Women’s Club, Turtle River Roughriders Snowmobile Club, YaYa Sisters of Manvel, Polish Ladies Birthday Club, GF, Pulmonary/Cardiac Rehab Program, GF, and a guest speaker at the UND Medical School educating students on living with COPD.   Reggie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Irene Teske, brother’s Henry and Johnny Riske, grandson Jason Stadstad, brother-in-law’s Richard Teske, Ray Stadstad and Bud Stadstad, and sister-in-law Leonarda Riske.   In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Jason Stadstad Arena.Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 31, 2016 in St. Timothy's Catholic Church of Manvel. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday at the church.
