Margyll Shull Halverson, 92, Grand Forks, died Tuesday January 10, 2017, at her home with family by her side. Margyll Corrine Sagen, the daughter of Kittle and Marie (Nygaard) Sagen was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on July 27, 1924. She was raised in Grand Forks, , graduated from Central High School, and attended the University of North Dakota for two years. Margyll married John Shull in 1945. She married John Halverson in 1986. Margyll was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway, Gyda Varden Lodge in Grand Forks. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and later enjoyed playing golf. Getting together for coffee with her neighborhood friends was one of her favorite activities. Margyll is survived by her children, Cheryl Hirschel (Carl), Castle Rock, CO, John “Jack” Shull (Connie), Tapei, Taiwan, Barry Shull (Lorraine Fortin), Raymond, NE, and Marlan Shull, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Kristopher Messinger (Jennifer), Casey (Dave) Russell, Christian Shull, Catherine Shull (Enrico Zito), David Shull, Jennifer Shull; great-grandchildren, Connor and Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and siblings, Carrold Sagen, and Harlan Sagen. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Interment will be in Memorial Park North Cemetery, Grand Forks.
