Wesley Martinson

  Wesley E. “Wes” Martinson, 74, Grand Forks, ND, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Valley Memorial Home Eldercare. Wes was born June 25, 1942 in McVille, ND, the son of Orlando and Thelma (Ensrud) Martinson. He was raised in McVille and graduated from high school there in 1964. Wes served in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his discharge, he worked at a marina at Lake Metigoshe, ND. He later moved to Grand Forks where he was employed as a mechanic for Rydell Chevrolet. He also worked for many years for Finest Auto Trim of Grand Forks. Wes enjoyed hunting and watching Nascar. Wes married Elaine Solseng on May 4, 1968 at the Lom Lutheran Church near Niagara, ND. She passed away on March 1, 1987. Wes is survived by his sisters, Joette (Jim) Marback, Fargo, ND and Pauline (Odin) Kvamme, Grand Forks; and several nieces and nephews. Wes was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; son, Brian; and by his parents. Wes requested no services be held.
