Aggie Rivard

  Agraphine (Aggie) Rivard, 84, Grand Forks, ND, formerly of Oslo, MN, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 19, 2017 surrounded by her family. Aggie was born on August 19, 1932 in Pulaski Township, Walsh County, ND, the daughter of Richard and Julianna (Marynik) Duray. On June 7, 1955, Aggie married Fred (Duane) Rivard in Warsaw, ND. They made their home in Big Woods Township near Oslo, MN where she and Duane farmed. In 1994, they moved to Lehigh, Florida before returning to Grand Forks in 2014.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Alter Society, as well as a member of Polish National Alliance. Aggie loved to travel, and spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid card player and frequent visitor to the Grand Forks and East Grand Forks Senior Centers.  She is survived by her husband, Duane of Grand Forks, ND; three children, Adele (Gary) Shane of Oslo, MN, Dale (Marianne) Rivard of East Grand Forks, MN, and Ava (Jim) Archibald of West Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren, Andrea (Dave) McKichan of Austin, MN, Amanda (Jim) Rogus of Stephen, MN, Dale Jr. (Brette) Rivard of Mesa, AZ, Grant Shane of Grand Forks, ND, Greg Shane of Grafton, ND, Alyson (Chris) Larson of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jonathon Archibald of Fargo, ND and Amy Archibald of Grand Forks, ND; three step-grandchildren; Christine (Tim) Sivertson of Thompson, ND, Colette (Jesse) Delacruz of Hayward, CA, and Tracey Kinney of Grand Forks, ND, nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Duray of Warsaw, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery of Grand Forks, ND.
