Leone Rodningen, 93, Grand Forks, died Monday, February 20, 2017 in Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Larimore, North Dakota. Helen Leone Flem was born to Herbert and Minnie (Severson) Flem on August 20, 1923 at Petersburg, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Petersburg, North Dakota and graduated from Petersburg High School. Leone married Clinton Rodningen, Sr. on November 6, 1940 at Petersburg and they moved to Grand Forks shortly after. She graduated with undergraduate and master’s degrees in Library Science from UND. Leone enjoyed photography, line dancing, spending time at Maple Lake, and was an avid Bridge and Whist player. She was an active member of the East Grand Forks Senior Citizens and a member of the DAV Auxiliary. Leone is survived by her sons, Clint Rodningen, Jr. (Susan), Grand Forks; Don Rodningen (Patty), Brainerd, MN; grandchildren, Brenda Johnson (Keith), David Rodningen, Neal Rodningen (Melani), Terry Winslow, Bridget Wortman (Derek), Dawnelle Rodningen, Barbara Sisk (Cliff); 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clinton Rodningen, Sr., 6 siblings; and a grandson, David Winslow. Funeral Services: will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, North Dakota. Memorials are preferred to the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Larimore, North Dakota
