Rodney B Iverson

  Rodney B. Iverson, 64, originally of Mekinock, ND, passed away February 18th, 2017 in his home of natural causes.   Rodney was born October 4th, 1952 in Viroqua, Wisconsin, son of Robert and Arlene Iverson. In 1957, the family moved to rural Mekinock, ND. He attended the Blooming Township one room country school house through the 8th grade. Rodney graduated from Midway High School, Inkster, ND in 1970. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1974 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.   During his career, he lived and worked in Cedar Rapids, IA, Duluth, MN and Minneapolis, MN. His area of engineering expertise was in Ship Yard and Offshore Oil Drilling Crane design.   He enjoyed dirt track racing, golfing, designing personal projects and visiting with family and friends.   Rodney is survived by his father, Robert; Brother, Gary (Sandra) Iverson; Sisters, Dana Carlisle (Bob Aleckson) and Janis (Mark) Anderson and 8 nephews.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene.   Celebration of Rodney’s life will be 2:30 PM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the funeral home.
