Dennis Raymond Davidson

Dennis Raymond Davidson 64, Grand Forks, ND formerly Milton, ND passed away on February 28, 2017 at Altru Hospital. Dennis was born March 8th, 1952 to Gisli E. and Grudrun Violet (Anderson) Davidson in Milton, North Dakota. He attended Boys State and Upward Bound and graduated from Milton High School. After graduation he moved to Grand Forks and worked at Kmart, owned DJ Booming, Dakota Film and Dakota Express Trucking. Dennis was an avid runner and played league softball for many years.     In 1980 he met Peggy Ryan who would be his life partner and best friend for 37 years, and to this union they were blessed with a son.   Dennis is survived by Peggy;  son, Mitchell (Tresa Moeller) Davidson;  granddaughter, Steevi (grandpa's little angel); step son, Aaron Brevik; sisters, Eileen (Kenneth) Block, Mankato, MN, Diane Fossum, Grand Forks, ND, and Velma May, Roy, Utah; brothers, Dale (Gayle) Davidson and David (Melody) Davidson both of Grand Forks, ND; brother-in-law, Allen Grundahl, Saskatoon, Sask. Canada, and 29  nieces & nephews 59 great nieces and nephews, 13 great-great nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers, Kenneth, Gerald, Vernon, and Wayne; sisters, Janice Grundahl and Faye; brother-in-law, Nels Fossum and nephew, Nathan Grundahl.   Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND.   Visitation: One hour prior to the service.   Inurnment: Later spring, Fjalla Icelandic Cemetery, Rural Milton, ND.
