Pamella Kay West

Pamella Kay West, 63, passed away Wednesday, March 22, at her home in Thompson, ND. Pam was born July 19, 1953, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Earl & Evelyn (Matt) Schneider. She attended St. Michael's Catholic School and graduated from Central High School in 1971.  Pam attended Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, ND where she earned her LPN. She worked for Anoka State Hospital in Minnesota, the Chemical Dependency unit at United Hospital, the UND Human Nutrition Research Center and several area nursing homes. Pam married William West on Nov. 12, 1983, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Thompson, ND. Together they made their home in rural Thompson raising their 2 girls. She enjoyed organizing and hosting parties. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Pam is survived by her father, Earl Schneider; husband, William; daughters, Bridget & Natalie; brothers, Richard (Beth) Carlson and Greg (Kathy) Schneider; special friend, Cindy Mazurek and numerous nieces and nephews. Pam is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Sollom; step-father, Whitey Sollom and step mother, Maxine Schneider. **Memorials may be directed to the family 2253 8th Ave NE Thompson, ND 58278 FUNERAL MASS: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Thompson, ND. VISITATION: Tuesday, March 28 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a 7pm prayer service at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service in the church.
