Phyllis J. Loder, 83, of Grand Forks & Cooperstown, ND, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Phyllis Jean Loder was born July 4, 1933, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Henry & Annie (Lowe) Haugen. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from GF Central in 1951. She attended UND where she received a degree in Dietetics. She married Donald Loder on Nov. 25, 1970, in United Lutheran of Grand Forks. Together they made their home in Grand Forks & Cooperstown. She grew up working in the family business Electric Construction for many years and continued as owner and operator after her father’s passing. Phyllis enjoyed traveling with her husband, who was a member of the ND State Legion Band, spending time at Maple Lake and was passionate about Sioux hockey. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of United Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed. She was also a member of PEO and received a 50 year member award from the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is survived by several cousins and special friends.
