Barbara Shuler, 74, Grand Forks, died Tuesday , March 28, 2017 in 4000 Valley Square Woodside Village. Barbara May Davis, the daughter of Harry and Virgie (Dickson) Davis, was born January 26, 1943 in Durant, Oklahoma. She grew up at Benington, Oklahoma and graduated from Grant High School in Oklahoma City. She married Donald L. Shuler on June 17, 1961 in Oklahoma City. They lived in Oklahoma until moving to Roosevelt, Utah where she was employed as treasurer for the city of Roosevelt. They later lived at Rawlins, Wyoming, Dickinson, North Dakota, and New England, North Dakota before moving to Grand Forks in 1989. Barbara loved to sew, quilt, paint. She also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, hunting, and camping. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donald L. Shuler, Grand Forks; Son, Donald L. Shuler, Jr. (Patty), Bismarck, North Dakota their daughter, Miranda (David) Stewart with their children, Elias and Mathias, all of Bismarck, North Dakota, their son Lance Shuler (Akoya) with their daughter, Amariah , all of Bismarck, North Dakota, their son, Brandon Shuler, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Son, R. Paul Shuler and his sons, Corey Shuler and John Shuler, all of Grand Forks; a brother, Dexter Davis (Danita), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Paulette, Matula, Moore, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. Hands of Angels Although she is not with us any longer she went from one set of angels hands to another. The people that work at Valley 4000, the caring hands that God gave angels and hearts of pure kindness to help others.
