Jared Jay Castoreno passed away on March 29, 2017 due to a tragic work related accident. Jared was born March 6, 1987, the son of Pam (Trostad) and Paul Castoreno in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was baptized at Sharon Lutheran Church. He attended Winship Elementary, Valley Middle School, and Grand Forks Central High School. He graduated from the Adult Learning Center with honors. Jared worked for Structures, Inc. for several years and was currently working for another construction company. Jared was a person with a very kind heart. He had a smile that would light up the whole room. He was willing to do anything for anyone who needed help. He was very protective of his brothers and extended family. He was very close to his cousins. Jared was his Uncle Gregg’s right hand man. He was always the one Gregg would call on for help with his house in the country or whatever project he was working on. They were alike in so many ways. Jared was a big Sioux hockey fan. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his brothers, nephew, uncle and Grandpa. He also enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, spending time with his niece & nephews along with family and friends. Jared enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry and art. Jared is survived by his father, Paul, his brothers Aaron (Taylor) of Buffalo, NY, Dylan & Jamey of Grand Forks, ND, his sister Jodie (Dave) Sunderland of Bemidji, MN, his grandparents Obert & Marilynn Trostad, niece Serenity Castoreno, nephews Dawson Castoreno, Parker Sunderland, Peyton Sunderland, Davey Sunderland, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam, his grandparents Maryann and Felipe Castoreno, and his uncle Gregg Trostad. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 2:00pm at Sharon Lutheran Church. Visitation will be for one hour before the services in the church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in East Grand Forks, MN.
