Elaine Donarski

Elaine K. Donarski, 74, Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Elaine was born on April 29, 1942 in Seb, Minnesota, the daughter of Eino and Olga Johnson.  Elaine married Frank Donarski on October 14, 1961 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.  Elaine worked for the Thief River Falls public school for many years and also worked with Frank for Mehrkens Farms, Inc. She retired from the University of North Dakota in 2006. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved trips to the casino and weekly dominos games with her brothers and sister.  Elaine is survived by her daughter, Holly; son Tom, brothers, Arnold Johnson, Donald Johnson (Barbara),  sister, Grace Giauque (James) and brother Willard Johnson.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be  1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Sharon Lutheran Church, 1720 S. 20th St., Grand Forks.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m until 1:00 pm in the church.  Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, Minnesota.  Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks is in charge of arrangements.
