Marilyn Vondal

Our loving mother Marilyn Vondal, 58, Grand Forks, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Altru Hospital. Marilyn was born December 5, 1958, in Walhalla, the daughter of Leonard and Doris (Goulet) Vondal. She grew up in Walhalla and moved to Grand Forks in 1977. She was a member at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She loved to visit with the clergy and have conversations about her faith. Marilyn loved spending time with her grandchildren, close friends and her cats. She liked to do different art and craft projects in her spare time. Marilyn is survived by her children: Tanya (Laronta Green) Demyers, Travis (Vanessa) Vondal, Tina Vondal, siblings: Rita (Mark) Whittaker, Evelyn (Kyle) Kaushagen, Cheryl Vondal, Bonnie Vondal, Leonard Vondal Jr., 10 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Brenda, Linda, and the love of her life Mark. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Visitation will continue at 10:00 a.m. until the start of the service.
