Jonathan David Austin Black, 16, passed away on April 26, 2017 at his home in Reynolds, ND.Jonathan was born on November 19, 2000, in Fayetteville, AR, the son of Nelson Ovidio Alvarado & Tina Black-Randle. Jonathan attended elementary schools in Arkansas before moving to Grand Forks where he was currently a sophomore at GF Central High. He was a loving person to animals and people and loved wrestling. He was a caring and loving boy who always helped people no matter what the situation. He loved his pets, Odessa, Sasha, Domino, Herby, Norbert and Luna and many others. He always made time for his friends. Snapchat was his favorite and music was his passion as he loved all kinds. One of Jonathan’s favorite things was longboarding. He also collected knives, and enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. He won awards in wrestling and was on the student council. He also loved working tradeshows with his mom and selling things. He loved playing video games with his best friend, Lance Schill. Jonathan is survived by his mother, Tina (Gary Randle) Black-Randle; father, Nelson (Yesenia) Alvarado; sister, Alyssa Black; brother, Nur Rodriguez; step-sisters, Jessica Alvarado, Estephany (Kurt) Barnett, Zeida, Susie and Emily Alvarado & Crystal and Sarah Marmol; step-brothers, Alex & Nick Randle & Abel & Jacob Alvarado; girlfriend, Gena Hellerstedt; grandparents, John & Ruth Black, Dora Menard, Judy & Owen Randle, aunts; April Black, Nicole (Jonathan) Edwards, Natalia Michel, Zeida Alvarez uncles; William Black; cousins, Shelby Black, Hayden Black, Karter Edwards, Landen Black and Zachary Burnes along with many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael "Carmino" Hall.Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 1 at Sharon Lutheran Church 1720 S. 20th St. in Grand Forks.Visitation: One hour prior to the service in the church.
