Janet Fish

Janet K. Fish passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 60.  Janet was born on February 5, 1957 in Stanley, ND to the late Melvin and Avis Borst.  She grew up and attended school in Grand Forks.  Janet was united in marriage to Steven Fish on August 9, 1980 and was blessed with three children.  Janet’s life can best be described in the titles she carried - - devoted daughter, loving wife, giving mother, doting grandmother and caring sister.She leaves her love for her children, grandchildren and family as her legacy.  She is survived by her husband Steven and son Brian of Grand Forks, son Matthew (Amy) and daughter Sandra of Emerado, ND; grandchildren Jeffrey, Cherokee and Shelby Jean; sisters Barbara Galloway of Wichita, KS, Joanne (Tom); brothers Alan (Betty) and Arden (Wanda) of Grand Forks; brothers-in-law Rod Kahler of Fargo, ND and Dwayne Fish (Jeanette) of Rosemount, MN; sisters-in-law Delby Seliga (Dan) and Sheryl Matthews all of Ely, MN; and many nieces and nephews.  We will miss Janet’s thoughtfulness and caring heart and will never forget her.  She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Avis and sister Beverly.Services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Amundson Funeral Home located at 2975 S. 42nd Street, Grand Forks, ND.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm prior to the service in the funeral home.  Burial will be at Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
