Tami Freeman

Tami was born on September 3rd, 1962 in Karlstad, MN, the daughter of Duane and Shirley (Bogestad) Freeman. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith in 1962 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls where she was confirmed in 1980. She grew up in Thief River Falls, MN attending school and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1982. Tami then attended AVTI in Thief River Falls graduating with an Associate Science degree in 1984.  She worked in medical terminology before working at UND. In 1988, Tami married Harvey Helle Jr. The union was blessed with the birth of their daughters Alicia and Tiffany.  They resided in Grand Forks, ND. Tami became a homemaker so she could raise her daughters. Tami liked to cook, listen to music, crafts, going on family picnics, travelling and spending time with her family, especially her two daughters and granddaughter Kari. Tami is survived by her children: Alicia Helle and Tiffany Helle of Mayville, ND, granddaughter Kari of Mayville, ND, and her siblings: Tari (Jay) Jonson of West Fargo, ND and Chris (Aida) Freeman of Saint Paul, MN and nieces/nephew: Katie Jonson, Andrew Jonson, Mara Jonson, Nora Jonson of West Fargo, ND and Isabelle Freeman of Saint Paul, MN She was preceded in death by her parents(Duane and Shirley Freeman), grandparents: Albin and Alice Bogestad, Ross and Minnie Freeman, several uncles, aunts and one cousin. Tamara “Tami” Lee Freeman, 54, died Monday, May 15, 2017 in her home in Grand Forks, ND. May her memory be blessed. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the memorial service. Inurnment will be held in Karlstad City Cemetery, Karlstad, MN
