Jennifer K. (Freese) Blake, 53, passed away at her home in Grand Forks on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Jennifer was born March 14, 1964, In Minot, ND, the daughter of Jeanne Kay Bushaw and James C. Freese. She grew up in Grand Forks attending Kelly Elementary School and graduating from Red River High School. She also attended a dental hygienist school in Washington D.C. She was chosen to be in the Who’s Who for scholastic achievement in Dentistry. She married Mark Blake on May 30, 1985. Together they had 2 sons. Jennifer worked as an Allstate Insurance agent for many years. She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed traveling extensively worldwide. She was very loving and giving with the love of her life being her family. Jennifer is survived by her son, Christopher Blake; mother, Jeanne Bushaw; step-father, Harry Bushaw; brothers, Dan (Andrea) Freese, Todd (Crystal Nelson) Freese, Jason (Sarah) Freese; sisters, Dawn (Mark Amsbaugh) Hastings, Michelle Jorde, Laura Freese; lifelong friend, Nadine Erickson; former husband, Mark Blake and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James; and son, Andrew. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the memorial service.
