Dr. Charles “Charlie” L. Robertson, 72, Grand Forks, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in Good Samaritan Center, Larimore, ND. Charles was born May 27, 1944 in Central City, Kentucky, the son of James Jr. and Catherine (Ewing) Robertson. He graduated from Ocala High School. In 1967, Charlie entered the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 21 years reaching the rank of Major. While serving his county, Charlie received his Master Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Florida State University. On September 3, 1982, Charlie married Rajeana Lee Cochran in Wichita, KS. In 1988, he became a professor at the UND John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences. In 2005, Charlie received his PHD in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University. He retired from UND on July 1, 2016. Charlie loved to travel, ride snowmobiles, camping, flying, and working on computer web development programs. Charlie is survived by his wife Rajeana, children: Trina Robertson Deboree; Dexton (Amelia) Deboree; Cheryl (Greg) Neville; Tawny Robertson; Ashley (Mike)Boren; grandchildren: Emily and Jackson Dralus, Falcon Deboree, Ava Neville, Preston Robertson, Hayden, Peyton, Jaxon, Hudsen, Ryker, and Jennavieve Boren and brother William P. Robertson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James F. Robertson III. Memorial service will be held at a later date in Kansas. Inurnment will be held in Nowata, Ok.
