Audrey Nettum

Audrey L. Nettum, 76, Cummings, North Dakota, died Monday, May 29, 2017 in Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, North Dakota. Audrey Laureen Bjorge, the daughter of Ardell and Hazel (Sistad) Bjorge, was born July 18, 1940 at Buxton, North Dakota.  She attended Belmont School for 8 years and graduated from Climax, MN High School.  Audrey married Merlyn Nettum on July 25, 1959 at Ringsaker Lutheran Church, Buxton, ND.  They lived in Caledonia and Bingham Townships of Traill County until 1976 when they moved back to the home farm in Caledonia Township.    Audrey was employed from 1959-1962 at the State Bank of Shelly.  She was an active member of Grue Lutheran Church near Buxton, ND where she taught Sunday School and Ladies Aide.  She enjoyed gardening, and working in her flower gardens, and also working in the fields with her family running tractors and combines.    Audrey loved spending time in the Hawaiian Islands and the lakes in Minnesota.   Audrey is survived by her husband Merlyn, Cummings, ND;  sons, Rocky (Kari) Nettum, Caledonia, ND, Robyn (Nancy) Nettum, Buxton, ND, and Rory (Natalie) Nettum, Hillsboro, ND;  grandchildren, Dustin (Chandell), Brandon (Katie), Kyah, Michaela, Jarrod, and Mara;  great-grandchildren, Lane, Reagan, and Brayden;  sibings, Marlys Erickson, East Grand Forks, MN, Karlyn (Marv) Gunderson, Laguna Niguel, CA, Chyril (Vince) Goldade, Grand Forks;  Sandy (Jerry) Floberg, Dilworth, MN, David (Lenora) Bjorge, Buxton, ND and Danny (Arlene) Bjorge, Buxton, ND.    She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Alden “Sonny” Bjorge. Funeral  Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 in Luther Memorial Home Chapel, Mayville, ND with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel.  Interment will be in Grue Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Buxton, ND.
